IBMI joined IBM on their Foundation Graduate Scheme as a Sales Specialist, and have completed IBM's Global Sales School with Distinction. My role involved discussing the same software as my field role, however my responsibility was to identify opportunities and generate meetings for the field sales team, through cold and warm leads, using phone, email and social networking.
As an ASC, my role was to drive Mac and iPad Sales in a well-known Apple Reseller (PC World) by converting Windows Users to Mac. This involved big screen demo's in front of many customers, explaining the features and benefits of the Mac OS, e.g. the iPhoto Software and iMovie Software. I was responsible for a ‘business within a business’, where my role was to act as an ambassador for Apple within the partner’s outlet; merchandising, promoting and demonstrating the Apple product set.
