Scoping the application and development of a web based Knowledge Management capability to capture, store, distribute and share key knowledge to where it is needed. The capability is based on using an all inclusive approach, including Customer Feedback and Learning from Experience, in conjunction with establishing a supporting culture. Exploring how this can be used to drive improvement and innovation within companies.

Introduced structure and governance to company; developed policies and procedures and utilised my Project Management and Quality Assurance background to modify and improve processes to optimise operation of the company. Worked with clients to develop and scope their website requirements, explained web jargon and terminology in a way that was easy to understand. Ran a number of creative working sessions to develop web based concepts and ideas; introduced a ‘Learning from Experience’ culture to company.

Part of Senior Government Team responsible for improving Project Management Professionalism across Government; worked with external organisations, including Association of Project Managers and Defence Management Training, to develop a Project Management Training and Development Route Map to provide structure and guidance on training requirements. Recommended the implementation of Knowledge Management to support the Project Management Professionalism programme.

Responsible for the development of Performance Management aspects of innovative Procurement Strategy/Change Programme – Prime Contracting; tasks included establishment of baseline parameters to support benchmarking, including Management of Project to develop a software based Value for Money Indicator Tool, which involved dealing with a very hostile stake-holder base to obtain historical information.

12 Month Secondment to complete MSc Project – to develop a tool that could be used to analyse the dynamic performance of a race car suspension. Also managed and delivered a Project to enhance IT capabilities, both software and hardware, in support of establishing a Centre of Excellence for design in line with TIC vision; involving budget management and negotiating cost reductions and increased capability and upgrades. Responsible for restarting the Formula Student programme at TIC; also Project Manager.
