Held full P&L control for the North American region. Managed and expanded electronic HID ballast and lamp-holder business, while successfully building a new LED business segment. Coordinated due diligence and prepared merger of Vossloh-Schwabe with ULT.

Relocated to Singapore, the new regional operations hub, following merger and restructuring. Tasked with accelerating Asian expansion, while maintaining profitability established pre-sale. Created and implemented business growth strategies that streamlined activities of Singapore and Taiwan to react to market changes and established new sales subsidiaries in China, Korea and Vietnam. Controlled USD $40M in sales revenues. Oversaw 40 sales and administration and 80 manufacturing employees.

Based in Thailand. Responsible for operations across the Asia-Pacific region: Thailand (factory and sales), Australia (factory and sales), Taiwan (sales), Hong Kong (sales) and Singapore (sales). Hired as Regional Director Asia/Pacific and Managing Director to lead turnaround of all entities. Restructured businesses, designed cost saving initiatives, and regained profitability without losing market presence. Held full P&L control for region, reported to German headquarters.

Built local team with sales/marketing, import/logistics and finance/accounting functions (11 people by 1998) to ensure smooth operations during regional economic upheaval.
