In charge of Asia and Middle East/North Africa Priority Area “Sustainable Economic Development”, in GTZ's Planning and Development Department.; coordinates all backstopping services to GTZ projects in the two regions; responsible for regional strategy development, product development, marketing and acquisition; anchor person for the sector networks of both regions

In charge of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Section of GTZ-P&D; main functions: strategy and management of the unit; competence development; knowledge management; product development; in-house consulting and backstopping services to projects world-wide; main products: technology competence centres for SME promotion; labour marketoriented TVET systems; training for SME Sector

Within TVET Section of GTZ-P&D responsible for all backstopping services to projects in the MENA region and Asia, as well as for the product “technology competence centres”, product development (e.g. cooperative post-secondary training solutions for SME; TVET for SME in agro-based value chains, etc.) as well as market development and networking in Latin America

Task Force “Think Tools”; exploring the possibilities of a strategic partnership with Think Tools AG, a Swiss-based consulting and developer of an exclusive software for strategy development support; market analysis; business planning; product development; training of consultants; marketing and acquisition

Strategic Project “Knowledge Management”, an organization-wide change project for the development, testing and introduction of an integrated KM approach in the decentralized GTZ organization. Based on the pillars of networks/communities of practice, HRD, information management and ICT, and focussed through a market- and product-oriented approach to strategy development, GTZ's KM approach won the German “Knowledge Manager of the Year Award” in 2004

Sectoral Project “Governance of Service Systems in the Agricultural Sector”; the R&D project focussed on the development of systemic concepts, methods and instruments for the political steering and the upgrading of SME-oriented service systems; it's outputs nurtured an process of diffusion of the innovations into the German system of technical cooperation; they were mainly targeted at high-level policy advisers

GTZ Office Quito; led reorganization enabling the office to assume a variety of new functions to be transferred from the HQ as a consequence of GTZ's decentralization process while reducing staff; business processes improved and partly outsourced

INIAP-GTZ Project “User-oriented Strategies for Agricultural Research”; counselled the National Agric. Research and Transfer of Technology System in it's reform process, aiming at improving user- and market-orientation, institutional efficiency and publicprivate partnerships with SME in agro-based value chains as well as partnerships with universities and research institutions; relevant aspects: decentralization, market-orientation; partial privatization; development of marketable products, etc.

MAG-GTZ Project “PROFOGAN”; led 2 GTZ advisers and 38 local staff in the final phase of this policy advisory and research and transfer of technology to SME project counselled 35 ecuadorian staff in transfer of technology to SME and adult training as well as network management methodologies

Trainer in the field of technology transfer, counselling methods and team work; more than 400 professionals trained; training materials developed; facilitation of international events, contracted by DSE - German Foundation for International Development
