Karl-Philipp Kortmann

I am currently researcher an group leader at Institute of Mechatronic Systems at Leibniz University Hannover. My main interest is in the adaptation and optimization of state of the art machine learning algorithms for state estimation of complex technical systems. Previous and current projects give me the great opportunity to apply and develop new methods for e.g. condition monitoring of energy-intensive production processes, SHM of wind turbines, computer vision for industrial quality control, as well as for estimating relevant states of motor vehicles and industrial robots. However, the greatest gift is to be able to work with motivated people, being my colleagues, my students, or research partners from all over the world. Let's work together to drive technological progress, while always being critical to ensure that the benefits of these technologies reach all people without discrimination.
