• Design and developing optimization algorithms and C/C++ modules to reduce the energy consumption of diesel and electrically powered railway traction systems (C/C++/QT/UML modelling, Windows/Linux) • Implementing ADAS elements, e.g. GPS-Tracker C/C++ module to calculate the actual train position on the railway and interfacing to the central dispatching system of locomotive cabs (Linux) • Validation and integration of software modules into the Linux real-time embedded information systems
