Project managing the roll out of websites globally based on a standard Microsoft Sharepoint platform

This role involved the establishment of New Zealand’s first web-based digital photographic printing company. The key technical challenge was to create business processes and systems from scratch while ensuring that these matched the needs of a rapidly changing business. Developing a fully-functioned e-commerce site and production management system with limited resources has entailed a smart selection of off-the-shelf components, clever out-sourcing and use of some low-technology solutions.

I brought hands on knowledge and experience to the Unisys e-business consulting practice which was instrumental in winning and successfully completing strategy engagements with the following major companies; Carter Holt Harvey, Fletcher Challenge, Kiwi Dairy, Alliance Meat and Griffins Foods. These projects were high intensity, short time frame and involved key members of the client company in a highly collaborative process.

1) Group E-business consultant - Working across business units to introduce the benefits of Internet technologies and the new ways of doing business that they enable. This included facets of, selling the opportunity, designing the architecture, defining the solution, managing the project and strategic consultancy. Development of standards for web hosting, security, Internet browsing and email.

As part of the Filmed Entertainment division of Disney I was given the opportunity to experience working for a number of different business units involved in Sales, Marketing and Distribution of film products. Originally taken on as an Analyst Programmer, I progressed quickly to Project Leader and then into a variety of project management roles involving facets of business analysis, systems analysis, system design, costing and strategic planning

This project involved the development of a Management Reporting system. The aim of the project was to use the familiar front end of Windows/EXCEL to assemble data from various sources to give visibility to supply chain inefficiencies and report KPIs at a regional and local level.
