Responsible for preparing monthly accounts and annual financial statements for the Agency in accordance with IPSAS. Duties included the day to day management of the Accounting Operations and Treasury & Banking functions. Management of period end closing and opening activities, Accounts Payable and Account Receivable reconciliations and accounting entries to the General Ledger. Main point of contact for internal and external audits, collaborating with other departments to ensure audit requirements are met.

Financial Controller for projects within the Joint Sensory and Engagement Networks programme. Prepared annual budget, monthly forecasts and financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Presenting results and analysis to senior management. Monitored & controlled expenditures against the budget in ensured compliance with financial regulations. Robust cost models were created in collaboration with technical engineers and commercial teams so projects were delivered within planned timescales and budget.

Management accounting support for the Air & Weapons Directorate; consolidating forecasts & annual financial statements from business units, producing performance and variance analysis reports for the Directors. Also financial evaluation of major procurement proposals were undertaken prior to Investment Approvals Board submission. Other duties included compliance audits, accounting policy advice (IFRS) and assisting the development and implementation of a new Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting tool.
