Über mich

I am a Magnetic Resonance physicist by training. I obtained my PhD at Radboud University Nijmegen, where I developed imaging sequences on Siemens platforms and investigated MR contrast mechanisms for high-resolution functional MRI at ultrahigh magnetic fields. My main focus is to push the border of what is doable with high-resolution fMRI. My expertise spans the entire functional MR research workflow. I create complete end-to-end research pipelines, from writing the software for image acquisition and reconstruction, to the actual image acquisition, the development of the processing pipelines, and the statistical analysis and visualization of high-dimensional data sets. By combining my physics and programming knowledge (python, matlab, C++, R), I try to get more information out of the data. I would describe myself as someone with a quick grasp of things who is interested in learning, who works diligently, thinks scientifically and is goal-oriented.
