Über mich
I am a computational biologist and researcher skilled in bioinformatics, Python, PostgreSQL, data engineering and data visualization with a previous focus on mass spectrometry imaging. As part of the Research Unit Analytical Pathology in the Helmholtz Zentrum München, I worked on the spin-off project "Theratype" to advance digital pathology and offer spatially resolved high-resolution in-situ tissue analysis through mass spectrometry imaging. Prior, I received a doctor's degree from the Technical University Munich on "Pseudogene Dynamics in Plants". Now, I am happy to join AstraZeneca Computational Pathology as an Associate Director, Data Science.

As part of the Research Unit Analytical Pathology, I worked to advance digital pathology and offer spatially resolved high-resolution in-situ tissue analysis through imaging mass spectrometry. • computational metabolic and statistical analysis of tissue sections using IMS data from a MALDI-FTICR • immunophenotype-guided annotation of tissue regions • patient stratification using machine learning algorithms • automatic functional peak annotation • data visualization • network & pathway analysis and more.

Happy Games UG
As part of my doctoral studies, I am involved in the analysis of plant genomes. I computationally annotate and characterize pseudogenes in economically important crops like barley, rye or wheat. Those plants have huge and complex genomes and require much computational power and parallel processing.
