    Sustainability Consultant

    CSE Consulting

As a project manager, I researched and formed a market entry strategy for an entrepreneur with an eco-concrete offering. As an associate, I researched solar distributed generation possibilities for a Fortune 250 utility company seeking to meet their state requirements, and I investigated energy audit market competition for a Fortune 500 equipment manufacturer.

  • 5 Monate, Jan. 2008 - Mai 2008

    Student Consultant

Student Teams Acheiving Results (STAR Practicum)

Our team of three students was tasked with examining the feasibility of entering a country with the strategy of supporting this non-profit's work in less developed countries. We also built a pricing strategy that could be used in other developed countries. In addition to our assigned task, I realized that Ipas' market had changed considerably over over the years. I came up with and suggested ideas for how they could remain on target and be of maximum service.

  • 1 Jahr und 9 Monate, Okt. 2005 - Juni 2007

    High School Speaker, Volunteer

    Planned Parenthood Los Angeles

Planned Parenthood is an organization I cherish, as much as I cherish the rights women have fought to earn and keep. As a volunteer speaker, I taught Los Angeles teens; how to protect themselves against STD's, the opportunity costs of teen pregnancy, and the value of respecting each person's freedom of choice. This was a wonderful experience, and my only hope is that I have been able to convince these girls of the value of living their own lives to the fullest before creating a new one.

    Burning Torch Inc.

Burning Torch was one of my best freelance clients.

  • 2002 - 2005

    Product Manager, Sample Room Manager

    Rozae Nichols

As first patternmaker and sample room manager I held dual roles. I interpreted the designer's sketches and descriptions into templates that could be easily reproduced, and I managed the work flow in the sample room, ensuring that the collection was completed on time and to the designer's exacting specifications.

  • 2 Jahre und 7 Monate, Jan. 1999 - Juli 2001

    Instructor, Digital Patternmaking

    Parsons School of Design

I taught Modaris, the most complex patternmaking software on the market, to Fashion Design students, and made it fun and easy to understand. I did this with relatively minimal training on the software myself. As is the case with all programs I have used, I was primarily self-taught, and became very proficient rather quickly.

  • 1996 - 1999

    Patternmaker/ Product Manager

    Betsey Johnson

Along with the other patternmakers, I was responsible for managing the work flow in the sample room. As a first patternmaker, I was also responsible for interpreting the designer's ideas and sketches as rapidly as possible into patterns that were as close to production-ready as possible. However, the job that made it fun and glamorous was supervising the dressers backstage at each show, to ensure that in the 20-minute meelee they could get the models in and out of Betsey's ~90 most outrageous creations qui
