I am an attorney in private practice, dividing my time between corporate and transactional representation of companies and individuals, and commercial litigation.

Perfect Escapes (www.perfectescapes.com) provides innovative online marketing solutions for luxury hotels and resorts around the world. I have served as the chief legal officer of the company (first in-house, and today through Outside General Counsel). In addition, I have managed the Perfect Escapes customer support team, as well as the company's information technology department.

Through its Intagio Media Services division, Intagio Corporation provides strategic media solutions to companies in the media and travel industries. I have served as the chief legal officer of the company (first in-house, and today through Outside General Counsel), and managed the company's information technology department.

I managed risk assessment processes for Intel’s business-to-business e-commerce purchasing channels. As Intel built out its electronic commerce purchasing capabilities, I developed controls to reduce exposure to legal, business, and other risk arising from these systems. I performed internal risk audits and coordinated risk management activities between Intel's e-commerce group and tax, license, customs, legal, audit, information security, and finance groups.

I provided legal advice and negotiation support to buyers in the sales and marketing group and in the fabrication materials group. I negotiated contracts with suppliers of sales and marketing services, chemicals, gases, silicon wafers, probe cards, and site materials.

For ten years I was engaged in a civil trial practice emphasizing commercial litigation. I regularly appeared before the state and federal courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia, and served as lead counsel in numerous jury and non-jury litigation matters -- including contract, employment, construction, real property, and estate and trust claims.

During my first year after graduating from law school I served as law clerk to the Hon. John F. McAuliffe on Maryland’s highest appellate court.
