I was then sold to CSC ... During this year I did an MM R/2 => R/3 migration. "half" of the system ( certain suppliers & materials etc ) had been migrated 12 months before, so I had to write a lot of coding to pick out the data that I need to migrate. Standard tools could not be used.

ICI sold me ( & the entire department ) to Du Pont. New name on the pay slip, same desk, same pay, some job. LOTS of SAP experience.

All kinds of programming, from PL/1 to Mantis to JCL to Roscoe RPF to ABAP etc etc. Jobscheduling . When they closed the UK site down ( Harrogate ), they offered me a job in Germany. I did 2 years there until ICI decided to sell the entire Fibres division.

I was one of about 10 to start on the same day & 19 months later the last to leave....

Offiicially I studied Computers, programming, organisation, Algorithms, hardware etc etc In reality I studied what 19-22 year old males study ... Pool/Billiard tables, Pubs, Girls, Cheap meals. I passed both the Official & Unofficial studies - with good grades :-)
