    Graduate Researcher

Bowling Green State University, Mathematics & Statistics Department

My interests include partial differential equations and the finite element method. All programming is done with either MATLAB or Mathematica. My advisor, Dr. So-Hsiang Chou, is a specialist in his field of differential equations and fluid dynamics.

    IT Technician

    Greenville College

I worked as a student IT technician solving both hardware and software computer problems for faculty and staff.

  • 3 Monate, Juni 2012 - Aug. 2012

    Internet Security Researcher/Developer

    Fairfield University

I worked in a group of 2 others developing a program in MATLAB that creates CAPTCHAs simulating human handwriting. English, German, French and Spanish CAPTCHAs were created in this same way and implemented on a website. The results showed that handwritten CAPTCHAs do a significantly better job at keeping out computers than machine-printed text CAPTCHAs. This resulted in a paper published in the Information Visualization journal titled "A Multilingual Handwritten Approach to CAPTCHA."

    Applied Mathematics

    Bowling Green State University

I work under Dr. So-Hsiang Chou studying the finite element method, in particular the Galerkin and Ritz-Galerkin methods. I took an independent course with the same professor studying the method of characteristics. My master's thesis is on Timoshenko beam theory.

  • 3 Jahre und 10 Monate, Aug. 2009 - Mai 2013

    Mathematics and Computer Science

    Greenville College

I graduated Magna Cum Laude. My thesis was titled "Security of CAPTCHA."
