I'm part of the team that delivers and runs Erste Group’s web portals and content management system, serving more than 200 web portals and several web applications throughout the markets Erste Group is present. The team of requirements engineers, project managers, quality assurance professionals and software engineers closely collaborate with different business units.

Erste Group IT International (EG IT INT) is the IT service provider of Erste Group, supplying solutions to all entities. It provides development, implementation and integration as well as operation of group-wide solutions. My main responsibility is further developing software written entirely in Java, which serves Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office functions, allowing financial institutions to consolidate their infrastructure on a single platform.

I worked closely with a client to develop a custom solution for packaged retail investment and insurance-based investment products (PRIIPs) for the variety of OTC products. Role included analyzing data from their trading system and drafting custom documents for their needs. I drafted and designed a user interface, that was developed based on their products and data, but later on also used by various other banks. I also participated in designing and coding a solution for SRI and SRRI calculations.

My role was setting up and maintaining document creation and workflow rules in connection with the core product, a web-based document automation solution used by a number of international banks. With this role I gained comprehensive knowledge of derivatives, structured products and other financial products. I was accountable for developing user interface and constructing templates for generation of key information documents (KIDs) for PRIIPs.

My role as a developer at MS3 Ltd. included performing a mix of front-end and back-end development on new and existing Magento sites as well as troubleshooting and resolving bugs found in existing Magento installations. My role also included developing new integrations, custom extensions and integrating Magento with other third-party systems. I worked independently with clients discussing their website implementation needs and wishes together with offering full customer support.

Developing and debugging solutions in quantitative finance, areas of risk management, portfolio optimization and equity and bond analysis was my main role at KD Funds. Main features of risk management solution were VaR methods, stress testing, pre-trade risk management and risk attribution. Solution for portfolio optimization and asset allocation included a wide array of features which supported many different applications, investment products and formed a platform for automated asset management.

Field of research: Complex Event Processing Role of a researcher included designing and implementing software modules, creating design documents and software module specifications. As part of the team I was participating in code reviews for development projects, developing written application test plans and reviewing, and providing input to technical writers.
