Shuttle Driver, Arrivals greeter
Airport FastPark
During my stint at the Austin International Airport, I greeted an average of 1000 arriving passengers and shuttled about 350 of them from the airport to their parking spot in the private long-term parking lot 10 minutes away from the airport. Communication between the Fast Park fleet drivers at the parking lot and those at the airport was vital to provide the right number of shuttles at the airport to cover the peak inbound moments without causing congestion.

Package Handler
FedEx Ground
My first experience with logistics management under stress and night shift work. Starting shortly after midnight, I helped unload bulk trucks containing up to 18'000 packages per shift. I scanned, sorted and reloaded them into shuttles heading to various areas of Austin. Whenever my class scedule allowed, I accepted to work additional hours into the morning. During my last weeks, I stepped in to replace a colleague and managed teams of 10-15 people running conveyor belts.
