Über mich
Pedro is a PhD student at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University of Innsbruck. His main work is to efficiently solve computationally challenging problems in near term quantum devices. Included in this work are projects related to Rydberg atoms in optical lattices and their implementation in the Parity architecture, first developed by his supervisor, Wolfgang Lechner, and his research group. During his graduate MSc program, in Engineering Physics, Pedro specialised in strong gravity, numerical and general relativity, robotics, and intelligent systems, having published two articles in these fields. The diversity of his academic path allows him to adapt to different fields of physics and perform well as a researcher. He endorses hard problem-solving and embrace every opportunity to learn about a new field of science. His interests span from robotics and machine learning to space-related sciences, Quantum Computing and projects focused on a positive environmental impact.

Integrated into the project "Testing the Kerr hypothesis with gravitational waves and lensing" at the Centro de Investigação e Desenvolvimento em Matemática e Aplicações (CIDMA). The goal is to, using numerical simulations, infer about the dynamics of isolated and binaries systems of Boson Stars (BSs) and their gravitational wave signatures.
