Using a Market Systems approach to encourage market growth in both Agricultural and Household water saving technology industries. Working closely with local market actors to assess capacities and identify ways WIT can support overcoming key market growth constraints. The assignments includes conducting rapid assessments, understanding market actors’ current and future business models, identify challenges and accordingly develop market development plans.

Providing consulting and business development services, under an EU funded Green Economy Project. Facilitating business matching between Palestinian producers of agricultural products (olive oil, dates, and fresh herbs) and potential German buyers. Services includes market scanning, implementing a communications and outreach campaign, attending trade events, meetings with German companies and creating interest in establishing business relationships with Palestinian producers.

Carried out an extensive market research and business development exercise for the benefit of JT&T. The aim of the consultancy was to grow JTT’s incoming tourism business from the German market including creating partnerships and the development of appropriate tourism programs responding to the German market needs.

Provided consulting services to DIT to investigate opportunities for DIT outsourcing services to the German market. The assignment included conducting market research, sharpening the value proposition, networking activities including participation in IT sector events in Germany in addition to designing and implementing a communications campaign to identify possible business partners.

As the lead for the trade and investment component of PMDP (A £ 19.5 million DFID/EU funded project), designed and managed the component's activities. Role included team management, developing work plans, managing program activities and maintaining relationships with a diverse spectrum of stakeholders. As the lead for the component responsibilities also included reporting on program progress to the PMDP team leader and to donor agencies.

As part of the Group’s new executive team, contributed to the implementation of a turnaround strategy that lead to bringing down loses from USD 3 M in 2011, to 0.5 M in 2012 and achieving USD 100K profit in Q1 2013. In addition to fulfilling the Group’s level IT and Business Process role, was acting Chief Logistics Officer for the group’s core business; Logistics. This included managing over 150 staff, 400 independent contractors operating Wassel’s local network, and globally with UPS and TNT.

Played a key role toward the firm’s evolution as a leading Palestinian management consulting firm servicing both donor and private sector communities. As Director of Consulting Services, was responsible for management of the entire consulting project life-cycle. Additionally was lead consultant on short term assignments in advisory services, investment identification, market research and strategy formulation.

As part of the management team, Played a role in the formulation of PalTrade’s new strategic vision and direction as the National Trade Promotion Organization. • Carried out operations management and contributed to the design and management of sector development and marketing plans. • Managed implementation of trade promotion programs and activities with special focus on the ICT sector, including participation in trade fairs and business missions;

Designed and managed tools for impact assessment reporting, including survey design, database design, supervision of data collection, conducting data analysis and outputting performance measures against USAID contracts and work plan indicators; • Customized, administrated and provided technical support for all databases, including TAMIS (Technical, Administrative and Management Information System); • Implemented a Lotus Notes Domino solution within the structure DAI has globally.
