As a guest scientist i conducted research on the functional research of HCoV proteins and was searching for new targets of anti-viral drugs. I improved both knowledge and technology of microbiology. I familiar with the cloning, human cells culturing, transformation and transfection, dual luciferase reporter assay, fluorescence microscopy, RNA extraction and q-PCR, Bradford assay, western blot and so on.

The research during my PhD study mainly focuses on the ‘Effects of freezing and thawing on nitrification and denitrification in arable soil’. Three microcosm experiments were performed to investigate the influence of different types of plant litter on nitrification and denitrification pattern in soils after a freezing and thawing cycle.
