Über mich

I studied physics at the Technische Universität in Dresden, Germany and graduated in biophysics on the topic of characterisation of motor proteins with optical tweezers. Afterwards, I researched on new probes for optical tweezers before starting PhD in Dresden. I finished my PhD and worked as a postdoc at the University of Tübingen on high-resolution tracking of motor proteins and simulation of multi-motor behaviour. Since I left academia, I work at LUMICKS in Amsterdam, a young company developing combined optical tweezers/fluorescence microscope systems for high throughput dynamic single-molecule experiments. Here, I develop workflows for new applications of the system and automated measurements. During my career, I acquired significant experience in terms of biophysics, life science, optics, microscopy, data analysis, spectroscopy with advanced knowledge in programming (Matlab, Labview, Python).
