Responsible for shaping and fullfilling Group’s LMD Strategy and operational execution in regard to the development of coatings and functional layers, the transfer of developments to industry, the consultation of industry, commissioning of machines, construction of laboratories. Management of personnel.

Analysis, evaluation and optimization of production technologies and implementation of laser-based 3D Printing (LMD, DED, EHLA - extreme high-speed Laser Material Deposition, Laserauftragschweißen) in new or existing process chains.

Analyse, Bewertung und Optimierung von Fertigungsprozessen sowie Implementierung des Laserauftragschweißens in bestehende oder neue Prozessketten. Koordination und Durchführung von Industrie- und Forschungsprojekten im nationalen und internationalen Umfeld.

High-Speed Laser Material Deposition/Direct Energy Deposition/ Laser Cladding: Development of coatings for harsh environments with tribomechanical and corrosive stresses. Determination of machines and components for coating manufacturing. Elaboration of metallographical and dimensional test methods for quality assurance of coated components.
