Overseeing the implementation and build-up of strategic initiatives: gas trading, wind/solar parks energy off-take, portfolio management and balancing circle management for 3rd parties, market access, grid and dispatch services, etc. Core Team member of the program aiming to identify a sustainable annual cost saving of 100 mCHF by reorganization and restructuring of the commercial activities of the Alpiq Group.

Build-up and operative management of CEE Wholesale Optimization and Services team consisting of Forward and Spot Trading, Center Operations and Sales Portfolio Management. PnL responsibility for trading in 16 countries and across 63 borders in CESEE Region. Managing Director/Member of the Executive Board of Alpiq Energy SE and various ALPIQ subsidiaries in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe.

Build-up and operative management of CEE Trading and Services team consisting of Spot Trading, Center Operations and Sales Portfolio Management. PnL responsibility for spot trading in 16 countries in the CESEE Region.

Implementation of a tailor-made electricity incl. CBTC trading system for the CESEE Region. Implementation of a fundamental modeling system for 14 countries for forecasting forward curves of market prices, production, consumption and import/export quantities and profiles including impacts of various seasonalities (e.g. weather, power plant and grid maintenances). Definition of relevant processes and systems for ensuring portfolio relevant data security and integrity incl. daily position and PnL reporting.

Coordination and elaboration of pro-active portfolio analyses and action plans needed for the development of origination, trading and sales activities in CESEE Region.

Build-up and development of origination activities focusing on Southeastern Europe. Management of long-term Power Purchase Agreements.

Selected project: municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, energy efficiency improvements, food processing.

Selected projects: road infrastructure, Stability pact for Southeastern Europe, wind energy.

Led the start-up of a nationwide Internet Service Provider. Provided consulting services for strategic partners, key accounts and resellers.

Conducted exercises in programming and mathematics. Designed, implemented and maintained the Faculty’s computing center.
