Independent and collaborative architectural works have variously involved concept and schematic design, design development, preparation of regulatory, construction, and bid sets, detailing, coordination of consultants, and monitoring of construction.

Design and project management of small- to mid-size architectural and interior projects. The principals were interior designers, but the firm served as lead on architectural projects and undertook architectural commissions directly, for which I was responsible · Management, architectural and interior design, construction documentation, and coordination of consultants for a $ 1 million, private staff dormitory, caretaker's house, and garage at the weekend retreat of Mustafa and Caroline Koç.

Development of schematic designs for various medical, university, hotel, and corporate projects · Schematic design and preparation of study models for a 10.000 m² mosque, retail, and commercial complex for a marble-masons cooperative in Kocaeli · Design development of a sales office and community center for a gated community along the Aegean near Milâs in Muğla prefecture, along with site planning, hardscape details, and coordination of the landscape design for one subdivision of the community.

Collaborated on schematic design and design development for a mosque for the Bursa wholesale greengrocers and fishmongers market · Design and html/php/mysql coding of an adaptable new portfolio website for the firm.

Collaborated on design development, materials and systems research, and bid documents for a gut apartment renovation in the Nişantası district of Istanbul · Consulted with the principal architects on international design competitions and local exhibitions · Researched and developed a marketing strategy for the firm centered around an intranet/internet website for current and future clients and collaborators.

Implemented and administered joint-venture housing and mixed-use development projects with the City of New York with budgets totaling $24 million. Determined project feasibility, negotiated and conducted transactions related to real estate acquisition, secured financing and entitlements, developed and maintained budgets and project timelines, provided construction oversight, approved contractor payments, and designed and negotiated construction, development, and consultant contracts.

Design and construction document preparation for residential, office, and historical restoration projects in New York City · Project management for an addition to the Staten Island Zoo Animal Hospital involving design and detail development, contract document preparation, Arts and Landmarks Commission presentations, specifications, and systems coordination · Schematic design to secure funding for a $20 million, seven-story, mixed-use, low-income housing project in the South Bronx

Collaborated with the principal architect to design and develop child- and family-friendly social housing for the working class, with emphases on involving residents and developing community through the design process · Schematic design and design development for a 20-unit inter-generational atrium apartment building in Salzburg–Maxglan, for a 20-unit cooperative atrium apartment building in Dresden–Coschütz, and two freestanding duplexes in Zaunerweg in Linz.

Observed construction, developed designs and details, and assisted in the preparation of contract documents and drawings for multi-million dollar educational and religious facilities · Managed the historical restoration and adaptive re-use (as a bed-and-breakfast) of the Andrew J. Palm Mansion (1912), including surveying, inventory, and documentation of existing conditions.

Compared German early modernism with contemporary architectural practice to ascertain relationship between social and professional structure of the discipline and "relevance" of the corresponding discourse to everyday life. Subjects ranged from language to education to professional organization.

My Plan II Honors Program thesis explored the concepts of community and dwelling in the history of public housing in the United States. The text was later adopted as an introductory reading for a graduate level course on the same subject in the School of Architecture.
