Responsible for providing strategic, operational and financial advice to the IT, Corp. Project Office and Facilities leadership teams, including facilitation of the financial plans, forecasting, management reporting and analysis of the business unit financial results.

Established and led an Order Management team that increased the accuracy and timeliness of accrual information and ensured revenue recognition compliance. Shaped Nortel’s go-to-market strategy by advising on ways to enhance the value of Nortel’s relationship with its Enterprise Stocking Distributor channel partners.

Managed a staff of 15 employees who processed and validated orders placed by our Canadian Enterprise channel partners and a major US Enterprise channel partner. Oversaw the successful migration of 25 channel partners from Nortel’s legacy order management systems to SAP.

Prepared presentations on Nortel’s Customer Finance portfolio for Board of Directors’ meetings and the CFO. Managed the credit review process and established new corporate procedures for extending credit to customers, which were approved by the Board of Directors in September 2003.

Summer MBA student. Advised corporations and institutional investors on mergers & acquisitions and capital markets transactions.

Developed the financial models used to value the companies covered, using DCF, EVA and NAV methodology. Published innovative and comprehensive reports on several companies using both “bottom-up” and “top-down” techniques to supply institutional investors with data-driven stock recommendations. Met with industry executives (CEOs and CFOs) to discuss current valuations.
