Compact PCB transition from Package to Waveguide Antenna based on an interposer Supervisors: Abdellatif Zanati (NXP), Shamsuddin Ahmed (NXP), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas F. Eibert (TUM) The invention proposes a novel PCB transition that enables connecting a standard BGA package to a waveguide antenna using a low-cost interposer for application at mm-Wave frequencies (76-81GHz). PCB layout & production coordination, partnering with external suppliers to execute the development activities.

Characterization and Tolerance Analysis of Single-Ended Microstrip Line-to-Hollow Waveguide Launcher, with Etching Compensation Designed and characterized an improved version for wideband two-patch waveguide launcher, together with over-etching compensation and tolerance analysis for panel production, operating in the automotive radar range. Simulated Full-Chain (package reference plane to waveguide) using proposed waveguide transition design for improved performance.
