Main function: Sustainable productivity gains in all areas of the company. After introduction of the Lean Manufacturing methology into the operational units it was necessary to expand the Lean approach to administrational areas to continue the Lean Transformation of SCHOTT into a Lean Enterprise. The current approach includes the supply chain management as well which involve interfaces between management, corporate departments, operational units and administrational functions.
