I am responsible for international project management activities while managing custom software development and implementation projects for overseas clients. Effective communication is an essential part of my day-to-day activities as work is carried out in a distributed environment and involves virtual teams.

Project management activities included project initiation, scope definition and verification, planning, monitoring and control, risk management, stakeholder management, organizing and leading project management and team meetings, information distribution and team building.

Responsible for project management activities while managing custom software development projects using Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) methodology. Successfully managed several projects for one of the biggest banks in Lithuania. Management of these projects included detailed planning, scope, cost and time management, customer management, risk management, change management and project closure.

Successfully managed a team of several developers to develop, test and deploy network monitoring system. My tasks involved negotiating customer agreements, defining and verifying project scope, preparing detailed project plan, execution, status reporting and communications management. Project closure included formal customer acceptance and final sign off. A lot of attention was placed to risk management. Lessons learned were also documented throughout the project's life cycle.

Job involved analysing existing systems and gathering and documenting requirements for the new systems. This position required constant client contact as well as contact with the inside software development team. Part of this job was to transfer all collected information into requirements specifications documents with UML diagrams (especially use case diagrams) and get customer’s approval. Other artefacts included vision and scope documents, use case specifications and business glossaries.
