Provide leadership and functional direction in the delivery and management of Workplace Safety & Health initiatives within the GTA Region (27 municipalities) for its 14,000 employees, develop Safety and WSIB plans that are responsive to current and future needs of the region, and as a key functional representative of WS&H, identify and anticipate policy issues and requirements

Managed and provided organizational direction to staff in Occupational Health and Safety Services, supervised the Occupational Health & Safety Management System, WSIB program, EAP Program, Environmental/Hazardous Waste and the Emergency and Fire Program, monitored Sheridan’s legislative safety compliance through providing sound advice/guidance in matters related to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act and maintained Sheridan’s OHSMS.

The program complements my strong technical background in occupational health and safety, to increase my knowledge base on management principals. The degree focuses on every aspect of the development of sustained Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
