I am an IT architect with over 28 years of experience (14 years as self-employed) in the architecture, design, implementation, testing and support of mission-critical systems.

DEWA is to automat all 400 and 33/11KV substations OT ICS as well as Smart Grid programs such as Smart Meter, EV, DR, and Distributed-Generation etc. - Redefine policy and procedures of OT and ICS based on ISO27001/27002, IEC62443, ISA 99, NISTIR, SP800-53, 800-82, 800-83, NERC CIP002-009 frameworks. - Upgrade communication infrastructure, physical and cyber-security using best of bread AD, FW, IPS, Netflow, VBlock /Storage /Backup and Micro-Segmentation and Cloud Security using NSX.

Siemens Canada started Smart Grid program with Ministry of Ontario in 2011 as part of growth plan for Canada. Typical engagement starts with 360 degree maturity model analysis for their IT/OT/Infrastructure /Security Architecture and desired levels of progress are agreed.Then Gap-Analysis identify "as-it" and "to-be". Then IT /OT / Security Services are design and a Business-Transformation-Program is created and priced. As Smart Grid IT Architect I was consulted during the above described processes.

Hydro-One delivers electricity across Ontario. ADS project is seen as the enabler of two-way feed of electricity and private generation, delivery and transmission via privatization. The implementation is based on secure deployment of infrastructure using HP C7000 Enclosure based technology and HP-OEM Cisco Nexus 10G and Cisco 8G Fiber-Channel (MDS) , Hitachi Storage with full automatic redundancy in Services, Application, Databases, Servers, Storage and Communication. using Nexus, Firewalls and 10G Network

TAQA is a young company (founded in 2005) but already a global (24 Billion) player in the energy sector across the world (Emirate, Saudi-Arabia, India, Ghana, Morocco, Netherlands, UK, Canada, USA etc). TAQA produces gas from about 30 wells in Netherlands, UK, Canada and USA onshore and offshore facilities and owns natural gas storage facility and refineries across for Globe. It is growing by acquiring assets in energy Sector.

O2 is German portion of Telefonica-Int.(€ 65 billion) and 340 POPs. Business Services deliver Clients each with up to 3000 Sites Full-Mesh or Hub/Spoke MPLS-VPN Disaster Recovery - Managed Firewall with Extended DMZ. MPLS-VPN extended to 70 Countries via TIWS and to the rest of world by DMVPN-IPSec.

SSHA is a privatized IT services of Ontario Ministry of Health. It services clients (500 Hospitals, 2600 health Centres) via own infrastructure. I helped to upgrade its infrastucture to MPLS-VPN using Cisco GSR and and Juniper products and improved BW, QoS and Extranet VPN services to clients.

MoI is responsible in many aspects such as National ID, Passport, Special Security forces, Visa etc. The Ministry Network and Database is its major asset. My role was to Secue its Network and Databases from misuse and terrorism and completing the delivery of Network security project valued $50 Mil.

Rogers is largest MSO in Canada (9 Billion Assets) deliver Cable-TV, Internet, VOD, Mobile, News and Magazine. I helped Rogers deploy 120 Cisco Deep Inspection Engine (SCE) and 45 Collection Managers using Sun Netra-240. I also evaluated the upgrade path for re-architecture of Roger HD VOD Services

For Agriculture Canada (Canadian Government), project completed plans HQ building (Deploy cost 30 Million). For Ottawa School Board project I deployed core of network using Cisco 6500 with integrated FW, IDS and NEM Modules. Over 200 schools and 30,000 users were connected using the new system.

Colt Telecom is a very successful ISP (700 Million Assets). I was contracted via Siemens to work within a team of 12 on network core MPLS upgrade. I helped also to facilitate in providing DSL and Managed Firewall service to their customer.

Commerzbank is one of the largest European financial institutions with 800 Branches. IBM had contracted I as a member of a team of 25 for a complete restructuring of Commerzbank voice, data network and its network management infrastructure as well as NOC operation.

AoK and Arac are two multi billion dollar insurance entities in Germany. As a result of take over of AoK there was need for a major network and IP restructuring. I was contracted via his ex-employer to implement network merger.

In order to preserve German literature, DDB stores two copies of every printed material in German language in electronic format. Through my ex-employer Pandacom was contracted to head a team of 8 persons to implement this unique ATM-to-Desktop network Helmut Kohl attended the opening ceremony.

Employed as systems and communication expert. Ceating innovate solutions to complex technical problems using routing, switching, products from Cisco, Nortel, 3COM, IBM, Alcatel for clients such as VW, Opel Works, BMW, Commerzbank, City Bank, Lufthansa, Hoechst AG, Victoria Insurance, Alldata.

Architron Ltd was manufacturer of data communication concentrators for Ethernet, Token Ring, and IBM 3270 Data Multiplexes. I led a team of 10 acting as R&D Manager responsible also for CAD drawing office. AT&T later acquired Architron. Clients were NatWest, Barclays bank, Midland bank, Air Products

FAZ is a successful newspaper in Germany. FAZ contracted I to head its Network team of 10 persons in a major network restructuring implementing ATM backbone and OSPF implementation. I helpe FAZ goal of printing its newspaper in 14 locations instead of one location and save millions of dollar in news
