Lead project teams to develop design concepts for projects. Investigate options and alternatives for interior design concepts. Fully develop interior design concepts and prepare with the project team documentation for authority submissions, tender and construction. Plan project and subordinate designer work flows. Assist with resourcing requirements and planning for studio projects. Clarify scope of work and prepare return brief for review. Review cost control for Interior Design projects.

Determines the objectives and constrains of design brief by consulting with clients and stakeholders. Researches and analyzes spatial, functional, efficiency, safety and aesthetic requirements. Formulates design concepts for building interiors. Prepares sketches, diagrams, and illustrations and plans to communicate design concept. Negotiates design solutions with clients, management, suppliers and construction staff.

Collaborate with the Senior Designer and Project Manager to complete all assigned projects. Lead team to successful execution on various project types. Manage project scope and schedule. Effectively communicate client needs to project team. Work with project team to provide interactive solutions, always with the client’s business objectives in sight.

Take Lead in concept design and keep up to date with new developments in the design industry. Review, correct and guide other parallel interior designer / draughtsman assisting in detail designing, draughting, presentations etc. Coordinate with suppliers, product selection and sourcing of suitable materials for projects. Consider materials and costs according to set budgets. Meet with clients & visit sites to provide design solutions, generate workshop drawings, give technical support to Sales team.

Modify drawings to incorporate design and technical changes. Prepare design and contract documents. Review mechanical, engineering and plumbing drawings. Develop space plans. Select finishes. Detail interior design projects. Produce furniture and finishes cost estimates. Conduct client interviews to determine space needs and requirements. Review engineering drawings to ensure compliance with design solution. Assist with site verification and/or field surveys.
