I enjoy working in anything from high-performance C++ or C# applications to writing python and building efficient docker build setups. Most recently I have been leading a development team of 7 software engineers (with 2 attached QA engineers). We have been developing a prototype system for a >$10m tender. Previously I designed and implemented a project to convert an existing application to working in VMWare ESXi. This involved re-writing core code to enable the application to consume close to 0% of the CPU at idle and scale all the way up to processing 60Gb/s of network traffic. As part of this I wrote a build system in Docker to package up the application in a Linux distribution for installation in ESXi. I am Irish-born native English speaker. I have a good level of German.
