As consultant I was supporting my customers, mainly in the following areas: - Project management, Technical lead, Mechanical design, Suppliers management and cost reduction activities

As Mechanical Manager my tasks were related to: -Managing the mechanical design team, consultants and the external design firms -End to End new products development -Product portfolio maintenance and improvement from a mechanical stand point -Dealing with all the other relevant stakeholders during the projects as: Quality, Supply Chain, Intellectual Proprietary Office, Purchasing/Sourcing. -Member of the core team in charge of creating the product descriptions

My responsibilities were related to all the aspect of new products mechanical design as: Suppliers management during whole project life; Parts and assemblies design, drawings and specifications from the space study phase up to mass production. Managing all the interactions with the major project stakeholders as: Industrial Design, Suppliers, Quality, Sourcing, Factory and Program Management.

My daily activities were covering the New Product Sourcing tasks as: -Suppliers selection and scouting -Projects´ cost control and components price negotiation -Managing project CAPEX (up to 8M €) with a worldwide suppliers’ base -Manufacturing equipment availability for ramp up phase as well as material availability -Acting as a hinge between R&D and Supply Chain Here the list of Motorola models I have worked on: K3, V1070 and V1070 refresh.

- In charge of new products mechanical design from space study to mass production - Managing a design team (6 people) reporting directly to the R&D director - Responsible for ODM mechanical design reporting directly to the R&D Vice president - In touch with all the project's stakeholders as: quality, supply chain, patent office, procurement Results: supported the introduction far east suppliers; this drove to 300k US$ saving on equipment and over 1M US$ saving on components over project lifetime

Results: I’ve worked on the low-cost architecture platform, on C331, C336 (the development was shared among Singapore, Italy and United States) and C550 (first low cost mobile phone with Camera onboard).
