Following the acquisition of Chordiant, expanded Pega’s existing US-based Sales Engineering team to a global model, creating additional hubs in EMEA and India. Subsequently expanded to near-shore locations in Poland and mid-West US. Developed engagement model for high value opportunities utilizing global skills pool and follow-the-sun development. Developed internal applications for reuse of demo assets and tracking sales activities. Standardization of demo infrastructure across sales organization.

Consolidation of Chordiant’s sales engineering activities in NA and EMEA into a single worldwide team improving efficiencies in the sales process through standardization and improved reuse of assets. Reduced average time for proofs-of-concept by almost 50%. Led development of visionary demos and prototypes used as input to the company strategy and future product set. These were key in winning a number of deals and allowed Chordiant to compete in enterprise level deals against much larger competitors.

Managed the EMEA Sales Engineering team. Established an near-shore development team in Eastern Europe. Built up relationships with partners, particularly IBM, running training events and shared presales initiatives. Developed a standard technical environment for EMEA presales and a repeatable approach to developing demo content and successfully executing proofs-of-concept. Harvested content throughout the organization for repurposing into sales demos.

Technical Architect (Pre- and Post-sales) specializing in CRM, enterprise integration, call center desktop and real-time decisioning technologies. Led presales activities for several successful enterprise sales campaigns totalling more than $25M in license revenue. Awarded Chordiant Presales Consultant of the Year (2007 and 2008). Mix of architect, team lead and development activities at telcos, banks and insurance companies in Germany, UK, France, Benelux, Switzerland, Eastern Europe, Turkey and Russia.

Lead Technologist in the San Francisco office of this US-based Internet consultancy. Responsible for architectural design and technical team leadership on client projects in the Bay Area, LA and NYC as well as business development. Principal activities included evaluating technology options, developing prototypes, and recommending solutions to clients.

Based in the California Bay Area, worked on a number of client projects across the US for this international IT consultancy firm. Played various roles including developer, Technical Team Lead and Project Manager. Industry domains included financial services, e-commerce, and supply chain management.

Developed and taught introductory courses for three semesters to graduate and undergraduate students. Syllabus covered algorithm design, structured programming, the C language and the software development process.

Employed as an Actuarial IT Specialist within IBM's Insurance Application Architecture (IAA) group, in a role that combined business, technical, and customer-facing skills. Based in Dublin and Brussels. Involved in a start-up project to develop a model-driven CRM solution for IBM’s worldwide insurance clients based on IAA. Extensive travel in Europe to promote the solution among prospects. Delivered customer workshops, produced a sales package and defined the customer engagement process.

Independently designed and wrote a suite of programs for unit-linked product valuation, including the user interface, calculation routines, reports and access to external rule definition software.

Employed as a Trainee Actuary for an Irish life insurance company. Passed examinations in statistics, finance, investment, economics, life and general insurance. Involved in actuarial work (portfolio valuations, product design, investment) and systems development and programming. Led 12 month project to develop a suite of programs for valuing the company’s unit-linked products. Responsible for specifying functionality and data requirements, definition of calculations and coordination of resources.
