Implementing functionality to transform geographical data for a MapReduce back end (Python, Object Oriented Programming, Testing, Git, Docker). Developed a framework to transform geo data into geo features that can be used in Machine Learning Models that are then used to explain the dynamic in cities. Working in a self-organizing team, that organizes its tasks in an agile manner with Scrum. Supporting other team members. Closely collaborating with a team of Data Scientists to specify their requirements.

Built dashboards with insights from search query data using Google Datastudio and SQL. Carried out Ad Hoc analysis for our team using Python Pandas and Google Colab / Jupyter Notebooks. Acted as contact point for use/business cases that could be solved with data and were then implemented by me. Built data projects using the Google Cloud Platform.

Followed up on the Work at ETH Zurich and set up water parcel trajectory simulations on the computing cluster at New York University in Abu Dhabi.

Analyzed ocean currents flowing in and out of the Arctic. Done by comparing measured and modeled water volume transport time-series with Python Pandas. Explored the ocean off the coast of Newfoundland on board of a research ship for three weeks.

Studied the offshore flow in the ocean along the North West African coast by simulating water parcel trajectories on a high performance computing cluster and analyzing the data with Python.

Supervised and maintained a measurement system for Methan and Carbon Dioxide in water at a field station at a lake and one at the sea.
