Static structural analysis of stress sensor using FEM (COMSOL) and successfully optimized the design of the sensor using heuristic and analytical algorithms with MATLAB. Experimental set up was used to measure the stress due to applied force in 6 DOF and the data manipulation and analysis was done using LabVIEW. To carry out experimentation the chips were attached to the Polyimide cable using gluing by epoxy, gold bonding and flip chip bonding. The theoretical stability of epoxy was checked using COMSOL.
