Installed and supported end2end Motorola Digicypher headend including DAC6000 controller, Satellite feeds, Video and OOB paths and RF plant for TiVo client STB development. Drafted comprehensive suite of CAD drawings.

System Objective: delivery of multimedia content to consumer STB via satellite and terrestrial multicast networks. Simulated the Moviebeam end2end architecture in integration lab, built Settop box array for regression testing, wrote suite of linux bash shells for STB automation testing, wrote and executed STB testplans, drafted AutoCAD 3d lab prints.

System objective: secure delivery of digital movies to cinema locations via satellite. Evaluated multicast packages (zband, kencast, cpc), designed/integrated satellite uplink and in-Theater downlink, Supported satellite broadcast demo from Malibu uplink to Orlando cinema expo, detailed wiring schematics and 3D elevation drawings, Evaluated peripheral technologies: skyX translators, Xcellenet remoteware, Whitepapers, technical documentation, onsite customer support.

Designed, built, configured and supported end2end lab including a DOCSIS path (Cisco UBR7223 CMTS), VIDEO path (Motorola HITS digicypher headend with HITS satellite feeds), RF (HFC bi-directional 750Mhz network with 1000’ coax run and BB amplifiers), IP PATH (Cisco routers and switches) SERVERS (solaris/linux), STB (supported community of 30 STB developers) and documented system with AutoCAD.
