- Support the Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) and Integrity Operating Windows (IOW) activities at OMV sites and projects in the field of corrosion, metallurgy and (electro-) chemistry.
- Evaluate new damage mechanisms due to the implementation of new technologies and sustainable feeds.
- Support failure analyses.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications and recommendations for material and corrosion related topics.
- Support the development and improvement of processes and workflows.
- Assist the internal technical authority on material & corrosion.
- Support integrity and inspection activities on site during plant shutdowns and turnarounds.
- Maintain communication and cooperation with other departments and sites.
- Prioritize health, safety, security, and environmental protection in the workplace, participate in HSSE trainings, and promote integration into company culture.
Your profile
- Master degree in chemistry, process/chemical engineering, metallurgy/material science or other relevant technical study.
- Profound understanding in corrosion, metallurgy, and chemistry with interest in process and chemical engineering.
- Strong interest in laboratory analysis, literature studies and standard review.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- German and Romanian are of advantage.
- Must be available for occasional business traveling.
