Porsche Engineering Romania is currently looking for an Android Developer for Mobile and Automotive to join the team in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. In this role, you will be responsible for Android mobile applications that go hand in hand with Porsche infotainment systems and Android Automotive applications that even run them. You will work on projects that span technologies, systems, and processes where you will design, test, and ship high quality code. In this role, you will collaborate with team members and clients to build complex applications and research all needed technologies that enable Porsche to deliver high quality and innovative customer experiences. As a team member, you will have to combine software engineering skills with research and innovation skills. We offer the possibility to be responsible for your own topics and drive them to completion together with local and remote colleagues.
- You will develop Android applications that go hand in hand with Porsche infotainment systems
- You will develop Android Automotive applications that run on Porsche infotainment systems
- You will design software modules and subsystems
- You will work in an agile environment
- You will use Atlassian stack: Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, and Bamboo for task management, documenting solutions, building and versioning the code
- You will collaborate with international project teams
- You will continuously discover and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
Qualifications
- You have successfully completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or an equivalent education
- You have several years of experience in Android Automotive programming
- You have strong knowledge of Android UI design principles and patterns
- You have an eagerness to learn new technologies
- You have experience working with large distributed teams
- You have excellent Kotlin programming skills using the Google Android SDK
- Your previous work experience with interacting with cloud systems is considered a plus
- You have good knowledge in agile software development; skilled in the use of tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git
- You speak English fluently and German language is considered a plus
- You’re a team player with a service-oriented working style, and as a self-confident person, you always have an eye for the essentials
